Adams & Smith furnished and erected the structural steel for the BRAC Hangar at Nellis Air Force Base in Clark County, Nevada.

 

 

 

 

 

Fletcher Jones Toyota

Adams & Smith erected structural steel, floor deck, and roof deck for the new Fletcher Jones Toyota dealership in Las Vegas Nevada. This project entailed erection of 300 tons of structural steel.

 

 

 

 

High Desert Prison

Adams & Smith was contracted to furnish and erect the steel for the High Desert Prison in Indian Springs Nevada. This Project was completed in two phases with over 767 tons of structural steel installed.

Virgin River Bridge No. 7

Adams & Smith was contracted to add structural steel to strengthen Virgin River Bridge No. 7 by adding two girder lines to the center of the bridge. By adding the girder lines the bridge was strengthen and additional redundancy was added. The project was unique in that a traditional crane techniques would not work in the space available. Using a two gantry system Adams & Smith was able to install the additional steel with minimal disruption to traffic flows.

In 1996 Adams & Smith was contracted to furnish and erect the steel for the new BP Offshore Platform in the Port of Long Beach. We constructed the CMS Platform, Access Trestle from shore to platform, and the Catwalk between the existing adjacent platform to the new platform.

Sweetwater River Bridge

Sweetwater Bridge - San Diego County, CA

The Sweetwater River Bridge spans a section of I-8 in San Diego County. Originally Built about 1970 the Bridge is actually two separate Bridges one for east bound and one for west bound traffic.

 

The scope of this project included erecting additional crossframes as well as strengthening existing crossframes. Over 16 Tons of steel was added to strengthen the Bridges.

Lewis Avenue Bridge

The Lewis Avenue Bridge in Atascadero California, a $6.2 Million suspension bridge, was built to link downtown Atascadero to a new retail center.  The retail center and bridge were considered vital to the revitalization of the Downtown of the city and the projected increase in tax revenues for the city topped $300,000.

The “Tied-Arch” bridge spanning the Atascadero Creek is held up by two 42″ diameter steel pipes from which cables suspend supporting the bridge structure. With a unique look and the highest quality of construction Adams & Smith is proud to have furnished and erected the steel for a project that had a major impact on the city of Atascadero and surrounding areas.

Badger Bridge

The Badger bridge in the port of Los Angeles was originally constructed in 1924 and served as the only rail road link to Terminal Island. Adams & Smith was contracted in 1996 to replace the bridge and furnished and erected the steel for it.

The neighboring bridge is the Heim Bridge and handles vehicular traffic. The two bridges run parallel to each other, crossing the Cerritos Channel to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
